Top 3: Holiday Lip Products (MAC & Revlon)

The christmas season is just within our grasp- the holiday music, the decorations, the baking; to say I'm excited, well, that's an understatement. With all these holiday parties and festivities coming up means that it's time to find 'your look' for this season, and what better way to tie everything together than with the perfect lip colour? Today I've got three of my favourite lip products to share that not only are right on trend but will be just the thing to complete your holiday look.

1. MAC Creamsheen Glass Lipgloss in Color Saturation (holiday edition '12)

Berry tone lip colours are always in for the fall/winter time of year, and this gloss fits the mold. MAC's creamsheen's are creamy, pigmented lip glasses that are impeccably glossy. It's far from sticky and nothing shy of long lasting. With a nude lip liner applied on before this gloss and it will last hours. It's a great shade that can be built up to an intense purple colour, or lightly applied to give your pout a nice flush. My go-to eye look with this gloss is a light, shimmery eyeshadow swept across the lid, thin winged liner, and extremely full lashes. For blush- stick to a cool tone to keep the continuity within your makeup. This gloss was apart of the MAC holiday collection last year, so sadly it's unavailable now, but there are many dupes found at the MAC counter, but also in the drugstore.

2. Revlon Lip Butter in 250 Peach Parfait - $8.99

The Revlon Lip Butters have been endlessly raved about among bloggers for their texture, colours, and moisturizing properties, and 250 Peach Parfait is no exception. It's a burnt coral, 'your lips but better' type of colour with gorgeous bits of gold glitter imbedded in the butter lipstick. It has a beautiful sheen and sparkle when on the lips, and is just the thing for less daring girls who prefer a simpler lip look this holiday season.

3. Revlon Matte Lipstick in 006 Really Red - $8-12

Now, for all those classic girls out there, how could I mention holiday lip colours without including the all time christmasy lip stick? My choice for the iconic red lip is Revlon Matte 006 Really Red, and as the name suggests, it really is, Really Red.  This is just your classic bright, Marilyn Monroe red. The formula will be ever lasting throughout your holiday festivities as it is a matte finish which proves to be very long lasting. Worn with a simple or smokey eye, red lips to me are always going to be the most christmasy colour you can wear.

I always love a good lip colour, especially these gorgeous winter shades- especially for christmas. Be bold this holiday season and take a step out and try rocking a shade that a little out of your comfort zone; it may seem  like everyones staring, but they're really only looking at how gorgeous your lips are (never a bad thing in my mind.) Hopefully these products can give you a little inspiration on what to deem your go-to holiday lip colour this year.

Merry Christmas!
