August has unfortunatley come to an end and the beginning of fall and september is now upon us. Although I'll be sad to say goodbye to the sun and shorts, the fall is already having me falling back in love with cozy sweaters, spicy scents and autumn colours. However I couldn't quite leave August without sharing some things that I loved in the last month of our beautiful summer.

1. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin: The colour and the texture of this blush was one that I really appreciated this August. The consistancy is very smooth and creamy, the pigmentation is just right, and the colour is a perfect warm coral to give you that bronzy goddess glow.

2. Baby Lips in Pink Punch : I had been hesitant to jump on the babylips band wagon thinking that 6 bucks was a little steep for a lip balm, but I caved and am very impressed. The formula is very moisturizing and doesn't leave a funny film or taste in your mouth and the colour is very pigmented making for a perfect and truly tinted lip balm.
4. Gold Necklaces: I've never been a fan of little necklaces until now, I've found an adorable elephant pendant necklace as well as a trendy gold rivet one- I've been loving wearing these with simple outfits to dress them up.
3. Covergirl Lipperfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Coral Twist: Going with the coral cheeks this jumbo balm has a beautiful burnt coral shade with the perfect amount of gloss and pigmentation. It easily applies and good amount of colour to your lips while keeping your lips soft and subtle.
5. L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara: Although I do not have oily eyelids, I find myself with black mascara on my upper eyelid- however not with this one! It's extremely black making your eyelashes pop and really lengthens and 'voluminizes' your eyelashes while lasting all day.
6. Great Lash Eyebrow Gel: Looking for a way to tame those unruly brows of yours? So was I, and I fortunately came across this gem from the drugstore- it's a clear mascara, or just clear gel with a mascara wand that allows easy application to the brows and a hold that lasts all day.
7. Viva La Juicy: I was lusting after this fragrance for months and found it surprisingly in Winners for a much more affordable price and have been loving it! It's a very light and fresh fruity-sweet scent that has been perfect for this month.
8. Frankenstein- I know, funny favourite! I recently indulged into this novel finding it hard to read at first because of the unfamiliar language used, but a few chapters in the story line really grasped me and had me curious to find out what happend between the fiend and it's creator till the last page.9. Fun! : At the end of the month I got to go and see the band FUN. perform in an outdoor venue with Tegan and Sara and boy, what a show! Worming our way into the mosh pit for what was almost front row veiwing the band had us entertained with amazing energy the whole night. Definitly a must see!
August ending means the finish to summer and getting back into the swing of things. Even though I'll miss late summer nights, and the 'carefreeness' that comes with warmer months, I'm glad to put away the shorts and pull out my boots and scarves. Summer 2013, you were great, but now onto an even better autumn!
