My Travel Diaries: Las Vegas 2015

Sin City. Disneyland for Adults. Lost Wages. The Entertainment Capital of the World. For the first time I ventured to the capital of fun, gambling, partying and drinking- Las Vegas. While I was not able to participate in the majority of activities Vegas has to offer, (I'm still underage in the USA) I was able to experience the "PG" side of the city and loved it all the same.

Just as Vegas has no shortage of hazy casinos laced with the smell of smoke, there is definitly no shortage of delicious (and sometimes overpriced) food. From room serviced breakfasts to outdoor cafe's and slinky dim-lit restaurants, we enjoyed delicious and unique flavours every where we went.

Bacon & potato hash with highly poached eggs (room service)

Quinoa and baby kale salad (Terrace Cafe at the Wynn)
Pork ravioli with sautéed apples (The Cave at the Wynn)
Blackened cod tacos with shredded cabbage, tomatoes and cilantro (Terrace Cafe at the Wynn)

What would a trip to Vegas be without seeing a cirque show? We chose to see The Reve at the Wynn, and my, what a show! The performance was a mix of acrobatics, synchronized swimming, dancing, singing and magic- what more could you ask for? With dancers nonchalantly jumping from obscene heights into the water, flashy costumes and acrobatics that leave your jaw on the floor The Reve is a definite must-see when visiting Vegas.

Our reason for taking the trek down to Nevada wasn't just for the good food and shows, but to attend a chiropractic convention with Parker Seminars. Although all the chiropractic jargon had me quite lost, the main focus of the conference was success, and how each individual can find it. They do say you have to work hard in order to play hard.

I hope to return to Sin City in the future to experience the city for all it has to offer. Until next time Las Vegas!
